ChevalEssence is a Quebec-based company specialized in online sales of equine wellness products.

2. Purpose

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (GTCS) apply to all orders placed on the website https://chevalessence.ca.
They govern the contractual relationship between ChevalEssence and any customer making a purchase.
Any order implies full and unconditional acceptance of these GTCS.

3. Orders

  • Orders are placed exclusively online.
  • Order validation by the customer constitutes acceptance of the products, prices, and delivery terms.
  • ChevalEssence reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order in case of stock shortage, obvious pricing errors, suspected fraud, or any other issue related to the order.

4. Prices and Payment

  • Prices are indicated in Canadian dollars (CAD), before taxes.
  • Applicable taxes (GST, QST) are calculated at checkout based on the delivery province.
  • Payment is due at the time of the order and can be made through the methods offered on the site (credit card, PayPal, etc.).
  • Products remain the property of ChevalEssence until full payment is received.

5. Delivery

  • Free shipping is offered for orders of CAD 150 or more (before taxes) shipped to Quebec or Ontario.
  • For other Canadian provinces, a CAD 10 discount is applied to shipping fees for orders of CAD 150 or more (before taxes).
  • Processing times are 1 to 3 business days, plus carrier delivery times.
  • ChevalEssence cannot be held responsible for delays caused by carriers or events beyond its control.
  • The customer is responsible for providing an accurate delivery address. Any package returned to ChevalEssence due to an incorrect or incomplete address may be reshipped at the customer’s expense.

6. Returns and Refunds

  • You have 14 days after receipt of your order to return an unused, unopened, and perfect condition product.
  • Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility, except in cases of damaged, defective products or errors on our part.
  • Return requests must be sent by email to contact@chevalessence.ca before returning any items.
  • Refunds (excluding initial shipping fees) will be processed after receipt and inspection of returned products.
  • Important note: For hygiene and safety reasons, some products are non-refundable once opened (e.g., topical products, dietary supplements).

7. Liability

  • ChevalEssence carefully selects its products and ensures their quality.
  • However, results may vary depending on each horse, and the company cannot guarantee a specific effect.
  • The advice provided does not replace under any circumstances the opinion of a veterinarian or qualified equine professional.
  • The buyer is solely responsible for the use of purchased products.
  • ChevalEssence cannot be held liable for any direct or indirect damages related to the use of the products, including individual reactions or misuse contrary to instructions.

8. Personal Data

  • Personal information collected during an order is necessary for processing, delivery, and billing.
  • It is treated confidentially in accordance with Quebec’s Law 25 on personal data protection.
  • Customers can consult, correct, or request deletion of their data by contacting contact@chevalessence.ca.

9. Force Majeure

ChevalEssence shall not be held liable for any delay or failure to fulfill its obligations in case of force majeure (natural disaster, pandemic, strike, network failure, etc.).

10. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

  • These GTCS are governed by the laws applicable in the province of Quebec and Canada.
  • In case of dispute, an amicable solution will be sought. Otherwise, the dispute will be brought before the competent courts of the judicial district of the company’s headquarters.
